Revert back to old time on UX/Front End

David Wilson 1 year ago updated 1 year ago 6

The new "Use more descriptive frontend date-time formats" in UI/UX is not really what we were looking for. yesterday @ 10:12pm really isn't a good way to describe what is going on when comparing log files to other systems either.

Is there a way to revert this back to the traditional MM-DD-YY 00:00:00 time frame?

Answer

Answer

The full date is visible by hovering over the element:

I preferred the old "last updated 10 minutes ago" format.

That's useful, for sure.  Thanks!

Though I would still like the option of the old format.  Sometimes we copy times in the TimeLine logs to compare, record in tickets, etc and the date format was more useful.

I can see why this was done (makes for a more human-readable and recognition date) but in the world of IT admin and logs, etc we typically don't get spoon-fed this way.

Just to follow up.  Don't get me wrong, having both would be nice (some people would like the new format) feature.

Ah, I was thinking of something else. I meant the old format here:

I believe that applies as well.
