Disable System Tray Icon

With the recent upgrade to version 25.8.3.9466, several previously customizable features can no longer be disabled due to security concerns. One notable example is the system tray icon on Windows and the menu bar icon on macOS. While I fully support enhanced security, the inability to disable these icons now allows end users to initiate chats with our support staff. Because our team is not always logged into ScreenConnect, this change forces us to continuously monitor the chat feature.

Instead of taking the straightforward approach of locking down all options, I believe ConnectWise should explore more robust methods to systematically protect and secure its products without removing useful customization capabilities.

Please consider bringing these features back in future releases.
