Connecting to virtual server w/o graphic hardware screws up display, wrong resolution
When connecting to a headless virtual server running windows 2025, the agent software reports (view menu) display resolution at the last one someone who used RDP to access that server had (e.g.: 3840x1600 UW), ScreenConnect only shows less than a quarter of that screen.
Nothing can make the rest of the screen visible to the agent. No amount of re-applying the display resolution (there are no other resolutions listed in the View->Display resolutions) or zooming will make the rest of the original virtual screen visible.
Note: The Guest user is NOT running screenconnect directly on their workstation, they are using RDP to connect to a Windows Server where the Guest Agent runs. When using screenconnect directly on the workstation the display resolution is fine and the agent can view the entire screen.
This is particularly annoying as we have to ask the guest user to only work in a tiny top left section of their RDP window.
