Thats a good base of customers, congratulations on that front, quite an accomplishment. Not sure what RD gateway is, its just using a very direct VPN, in my case I like the WireGuard built into Ubiquiti UDM Pro and makes the RDP connection faster than what one might imagine such a thing could be, you can use something completely free like Tailscale, it will add extra hops and latency though most would not notice. I assign the IP as a DHCP reservation or make it static outside the range and after RDP is turned on you simply use the direct IP in the VPN. Do not use RDP port forwards as its one of the more common things people scan the web for to exploit.
If the endpoints can't be made config-free by having some kind of host in the middle, am I correct in assuming that every single customer's firewall/router would need to be configured for vpn, etc? If that's the case, this definitely wouldn't work. That's why hosted remote access software like connecwise control is so important.

Hi Ted Ease, Its my app so far as it is what I use day to day. I have run an MSP since 2007, I have been using screen connect almost since there inception. I used on prem though now use cloud for simplicity and security. I can switch seamlessly from trackpad, pen, and the trackpad mode using Jump whether on iPad or iPhone, it works perfectly. I use a VPN, specifically WireGuard on a UDM Pro, to connect into the network that maintains my office windows computers, and RDP is as fast as it can be depending on the connection to the cellular tower or WiFi, 90% of the time fast enough it doesn’t feel like I am using RDP. It works perfectly, it is scalable, it is most certainly worth $15 as it makes this $1500 iPad replace the only other thing that would give me sunlight view-ability with cellular, $4000+ mil spec Dell Rugged or Panasonic Toughbooks.
Try the app, it is flawlessly executed.
Good to hear. I'm not familiar with RD Gateway, I assume that's what makes your app "config-free" in terms of firewall/routing. I have over 1000 endpoints between 500+ customers.
Daniel, is that your app? It hasn't been updated in over a year, and it is definitely not a replacement to self-hosted/on-prem Connectwise Control. Especially for those of us that run an IT department, IT services company, MSP, etc.

It solves the issue, further it will seamlessly transition between touch mode and trackpad mode when using an Apple Pencil, it also works with VNC, it’s pretty much better in every way for RDP connections. It’s $15 one time. Cannot recommend this enough.
Once trackpad mode is enabled it seamlessly goes between touch screen mode when you use the Apple Pencil, to track pad mode when you use your fingers. Only need to set trackpad mode once. This, with the sunlight viewable tandem OLED of the iPad, makes it in my opinion the best remote assistance tool available for any remote support techs anywhere. Microsoft's RDP iOS software is comparatively quite underwhelming.

Prioritize this. As I make recommendations to my customers about using iPad Pros as potential Mac/PC laptop replacements, not being able to fluidly remotely control with the Magic Keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse practically makes this a show stopper.

Crazy crazy crazy, been a user for years and years, thinking about not renewing this year, very poor.
