Support for iPadOS

The iOS app should be updated to include features of iPadOS.

  1. Native cursor support. In iPad OS 13.4 Apple added mouse/trackpad support to iPadOS. Control should be able to recognize that there is a Bluetooth mouse connected and remove the on screen mouse in favor of the native experience. Including gestures and right click.
  2. Recognize if a keyboard is connected. If a keyboard is connected, always keep the keyboard activated in the app. Also add support for modifier keys. I think shift works, but not CTRL, Windows Key, etc.
  3. Ability to send/receive files to and from remote sessions. Utilize the Files app on iPadOS to be able to send/receive files.
  4. Multi Window Support. In iPadOS 13 you have the ability to run multiple instances of the app. This would be great for being remoted in on multiple computers.

I have done the same, rolled out Team Viewer, its more expensive, but the remote access is way better on iPad specifically.  The MAC / Windows clients are good also.

I haven't renewed TeamViewer due to this factor.

I agree with Ted. The connecteise bunch is very LAZY and CONOLACENT to collect money year after year and IGNORE CUSTOMERS wants and needs! It's insane how they think they can survive as a customer with basically 0 Support.  Development app for this product is non existent since I've been a customer over the last 3 to 4 years. And it's criminal how they treat us!!!

I have started to rollout Teamviewer because of this for our agents.  The next step will be to not renew with Connectwise.  You guys need to prioritise this.  Its ridiculous at this stage.

Hi Steve,

I just wanted to let you know that we are currently investigating this request and cannot provide an exact ETA on when it will be implemented.

I just want to let you know that I have stopped recommended ConnectWise to all my clients and have no intention of renewing unless this issue is fixed!  I suggest all Other iPad users with this issue do the same.  The lack of response or improvement to this product has been very surprising.

I use my iPad Pro 12.9 with M1 chip for most all my IT support. Two things don’t work. One is connectwise control. The mouse function doesn’t work and so I can’t use control at all and have to get out my MacBook Pro for just this one feature. Is there a roadmap for IPad users with Magic Keyboard to be able to not have to use the artificial mouse feature and why doesn’t the feature work at all. Pressing buttons with Magic Keyboard does not work!!! Steve

15.2.1 and still no decent keyboard/touchpad support on ipad pro.  Definately not renewing going forward with connectwise.

Get a clue guys, your customers want this support and you are not providing it!

This is really a feature ConnectWise need to support. Been doing support using MS Remote Desktop iPad app and TeamViewer, both working great.. The connectwise is lacking compare to them, adding support to iPad would be really welcome. The new iPads, with long battery life, 5G, big screen and great keyboard and touchpad are the perfect too for people doing IT support who needs to carry something to work after hours emergency calls. The only thing missing is better keyboard/mouse support in CW Control.
