Refresher:
ConnectWise View gives a knowledgeable expert the ability to connect to a field tech's or customer's mobile device camera. Ultimately, these "experts" will be able to see what's going on and assist the technician/customer without having to travel offsite.
Below are a few tips and rules for those who wish to participate, please read through them.
Tips
- Search for an existing improvement or feature request before adding your own. This helps us prevent duplicate entries and track all suggestions. Note, you will probably have to search the community forum beforehand to help prevent duplicates.
- If you find a matching request, give it a thumbs up and throw in a comment.
- If you can't find a request for an item you need, create your own request. Provide as many details as you can, especially regarding possible use cases.
Rules
- No spam, advertising, or self-promotion.
- No offensive posts, links, or images.
- Only one request per post.
- Administrators have the ability to moderate the forums, including editing, deleting, and moving posts. Posts may be deleted for any reason, with or without notification.

Start view session from a ticket
It would be great if we could start a session from a ticket rather than logging into Control seperately
Throw dialog for cameraperson to confirm/cancel action to exit the session
Per Partner -
To prevent accidental disconnection, I think there should be a confirmation dialog asking the user if they really want to leave the session. Currently, tapping the back button lets you leave the session. There is no confirmation dialog.
Add the ability to acquire wake lock
Per Partner -
Add an option to enable wake-lock for the phone when the session is active.
Floating AR Visualizations for Physical Entities

The idea as applied to Perspective would be that machines could be display values on them (i.e. hardware utilization, open tickets, etc.) in 3D space once something like OCR of a barcode or serial number occurred.
This could be particularly helpful for Internal IT or onsite MSP visits where the technician needed to work on multiple machines.
View session auditing in Automate and PSA
When a technician launches CW View from the Automate Web Control Center, this should be audited in h_users same as any other technician action. Time of launch, username. Best would be an option to require a technician to supply other metadata like company name and reason for connection.
A similar requirement for CW View launched from Manage would be good, especially if launching from a ticket put in an automatic Note.
pop up requester for staff to accept.
we use Connectwise Screenconnect and need a way to limit tech staff from being able to connect to certain PCs unless the member of staff on the PC we are connecting to allows the connection. we need it to be able to limit this to certain groups of techs or a single tech and specific PCs on our network.
currently when we connect to a PC it just allows us full access. which if we do this accidentally to say an HR member of staffs PC could cause issues over privacy.
Add option to show a pointer on the guests screen
I want to be able to point out on an area of the live video to the user. e.g. I want the user to click a specific reset button on a device, I would move a pointing arrow to that area on the video so that they can find it quickly.
ConnectWise View SMS Template
add the ability to edit the sms template and sms sender that send to the customer with the link.
Incorporate Permissions for CW View Extension
Currently, it is not possible to control who has access to CW View when the extension is installed. On CW Control On-Prem I was able to hide this from users by changing the HTML. However, in the cloud instance I cannot do that. Thus, all my Remote Workforce users can now see CW View and use it if they so wish. Remote Workforce is used by my end users to access their PCs remotely, not use CW View. Please add a permission to disallow access to the CW View extension so it can only be accessed by technicians.
I want to know how to get the recorded screen link in connect wise, any API to get it?? As I know that recorded screen store in the file explorer of client machine

I want to know how to get the recorded screen link in connect wise, any API to get it?? as in Msteams we can get the recorded link once the call is recorded. As I know the recorded screen is stored in the file explorer of the client machine.
Please help me out on this.
