Question, why has functionality been removed in 25.7?

I recently updated to the latest stable version of 25.7 and I have found that my stored credentials no longer work in any of my unattended sessions. Clicking on Manage Credentials->Send to Screen" no longer does anything, it just leaves the fields blank.  And if I type in the password to connect to any of my computers or servers, it displays the dialog on the desktop asking if I'm sure I want to delete the stored credentials.

Why has the stored credentials functionality been changed in 25.7 stable?

Gotcha, the update for Mac and Linux devices will be in 25.8 which will be released as stable in the cloud in the next couple of days and will be available for on premise a few days after the cloud release begins.

I'm using a MacBook and I do not receive a prompt to upgrade.  But that does sound legit. I upgraded my ScreenConnect instance from 25.4.25.9313 to 25.7.7.9426 and that's when the stored credentials stopped working. So maybe the upgrade option does still work with stored credentials on the Windows clients.

This requires a host client update as documented here:
Prompted to delete credentials when sending credentials to screen - ConnectWise

TLDR:

This issue occurs after upgrading from 25.4.25 to 25.5.1 and then connecting to a device with previously stored credentials.

If the technician attempts to use the Send to Screen button to send the credentials to the remote machine, they are prompted to delete them instead.

Resolution

Make sure your host client is updated to match version 25.5.1

  1. Connect to a session to open the host client.
  2. If the host client version is older than the server version, an upgrade prompt appears.
  3. Select Upgrade, and then the host client window will close and reopen once the update has completed
