We need the option to remove the "Your computer is being controlled by....." banner on Connection

We support hundreds of devices that provide AV feeds for funerals. We need to be able to periodically connect to these devices without any form of banner appearing as this will be broadcast to the families and ruin the funerals.

Can we have the option to remove this as it is affecting our ability to support these services.

Also using to support digital signage - not being able to hide the banner is a big issue, and not even being able to see it now is even worse.

The Connectwise ethos does not give two rats rears about the needs of their nemesis enduser ... the mindset seems to be "they don't know what they need or require.." "you will use exactly what we sell you" not to mention this is not what you bought and paid for.. it's a joke...

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!

I use Connectwise to monitor and support digital signage. So now when I remote in to one of my signs, the clients, vendors and attendees will see this stupid little message at the top, which looks completely unprofessional.
I'm going to start looking for an alternative, because it's completely unreasonable to have agenda boards, menus, session boards, and show signs having this message.

Adding myself as well. We have the cloud version and have been dealing with not being able to disable the banner for a while now. Today we just noticed the dismiss option is now gone as well. This is a big issue for us. We were already leaving ConnectWise for everything except ScreenConnect. ScreenConnect was the one thing we were going to keep but now after all these updates going in the wrong direction, I don't think we will be continuing even with that.

Please for the love of god listen to your customers!

Seconding myself and others - we have moved to a different software for conference rooms. Likely we will be replacing ConnectWise entirely if this isn't changed.

adding my voice here because because this is just plain annoying even more so for people running their own installation.

for as long as i know has there been an option to choose if you want to hide the your computer is being controlled banner until it was removed recently.

I didn't even last 8 hours with 25.8 I downgraded my server and wrote a script to downgrade the agents. I'm looking to another solution for next year.

ScreenConnect pre-feature-removals is still my favorite but they're not the only game in town anymore.

My only hope is that the drop in customers is felt by management because that's the only way they'll understand.

I'm really surprised with all of the customer complaints about these changes that Connectwise is forcing on customers, due to Connectwise not trusting their own security measures, that Connectwise isn't listening.

My customers are complaining about it every day and I'm listening to my customers complain to me about it. So I'm shopping around and demoing competing products now as well.

It's such a shame. Connectwise bought a product in ScreenConnect that was really good at providing support to customers and has turned it in to a frustrating tool to cause problems for and push us, their own loyal customer base, away.

Why Connectwise feels like it is appropriate for them to inject their new business practices into my business relationships, and doesn't trust me to manage my own customer relationships and agreements amazes me.

I'm struggling to understand who, in their right mind, thought this forced banner was a good idea. Seriously, what product manager wakes up one morning and says, "Let's break years of established workflows, invalidate customer contracts, disrupt sensitive environments like funerals, chapels, live events, and AV feeds, and then remove the option to turn it off"?

This isn't a feature. It's an imposed liability.

ConnectWise, your customers have spent years building processes, trust, and even legal agreements around how your remote tools behave. You didn't just change a UI element, you ripped out a critical control without warning, justification, or a path forward. And for what? Because someone decided that ignoring actual user needs was somehow the safest move?

If this isn't resolved within the next month, I'm done. I'm already evaluating OSS alternatives because at least those projects don't arbitrarily cripple their own tools and call it an improvement. It's astonishing watching a company so thoroughly ignore the people who literally pay to keep it alive.

Who exactly are you protecting with this forced banner? Because it's definitely not your customers.

Fix this, or you're going to keep watching long-time users walk out the door. I'm prepared to be one of them.
