I'm interested and I upvote it, even though I always consider it my own responsibility to check this (should i lock pc? or leave it unlock?) before disconnecting from a computer, for several possible scenarios:

  • Mandatory: When you access any server.
  • Situational: When connecting to a user’s PC or workstation.
  • "Dumb": If it’s a standalone PC that needs to remain open for any reason.
  • "Dumbest": When connecting to a PC (when user left the place) with an open session and you don’t know the login password to come back, if needed.

So, every situation is different. But as proposed, would be useful for certain scenarios or certain Sessions Group.

With all due respect, this issue is as old as ScreenConnect, for God's sake. And I know screenconnect since it was a teenager, far before ConnectWise, and it's more than a DECADE ago.
I’m really surprised that nobody else is 'experiencing this', especially when you get frustrated trying to log in, doing everything perfectly—even copy/pasting—only to find out that Caps Lock is on, or whatever AND ScreenConnect incorrectly shows the opposite.
I've got to the boiling point to get here to look for a solution, and I'm begging you guys, awesome loving software that I married for life (more strong than I'm married in real life for 3rd time), but this 'silly' itsy-bitsy issue that 'seems to be' can drive people mad because how old and how often you trip on it.

I tried that in the SEARCH BAR (as this note is about: SC variable for filtering under SEARCH), and this was the output:

Nothing in "All Machines by Company" for your search "## Name LIKE 'Casa'" (following your model exactly)
Now, I don't know if those example formula you provided is for Session Group Filter instead (which didn't work either), but as the title says: under Search Bar (center/magnifier).

I know this my answer is 7 years old, so help me if any upgrade on syntax and such.

Thanks in advance.

M.. little correction to my post above: SPECCY will give you all info, including Hard Disk.. except free space info. xD
However, thru this simple line on COMMANDS (backstage) or CMD prompt and you'll get it instantly:
dir|find "bytes free"

or

fsutil volume diskfree c: (must be run elevated)

I agree too. It should be simple/easy task for SC to add these info in a small panel somewhere, like on GENERAL tab where the rest of the info, such as Name, IP, Domain, etc is.

Now, for those that wants fancy info on 1 GUI (and I mean everything in it), I'm using external small-free-software (you see SC you force us to use 3rd party for this simple task..and we have to pray for years!) use SPECCY from ccleaner.com (very famous high reputation tools website in IT market), I believe you have to install it first, and then use only the .exe on your share/public folder, you can use it also via backstage (I love backstage, you don't need to bother user at all, waste of time). Don't be lazy and give me a thumbs-up if it helped you. xD

I’m wondering if there might be a way around this, and I'd like to open a conversation here.
But I need answer to this question: Where a tool/program from Toolbox is downloaded using Backstage?
I know I'm using System credential in Backstage (that actually is not a user/credential per se, so its folders are not in C:\Users). ;)

I found this in Reddit, and it works as charm for me, even when the browser looks like Tin Woodman, good enough for basic web based site to work in (like devices' configuration page)

https://www.reddit.com/r/ScreenConnect/comments/18e4ufc/backstage_web_browser/

For easy tasks I use 2Browse in backstage mode. https://www.carifred.com/2browse/

Download it, installed in a pc, copy only the .exe to work with inside your SC ToolBox

Test it and let everyone here to know please, thanks.
