Customizations no longer supported from next version of ScreenConnect

So ScreenConnect will no longer support certain customizations from the next version onwards.

HOWEVER, the list includes resources that are actual sentences in English. My customers do not speak English and so we currently use a translation extension.

So my question is: Will the change mean the translation extension no longer applies to these resources?

I mean these resources in particular:

UnderControlBannerTextFormat

Your computer is being controlled by {0}The message in the small banner that appears on an end-user's screen when connected.

ConsentHostConsentButtonText

Consent to ControlButton to consent to a connection

ConsentHostRefuseButtonText

Refuse ControlButton to refuse a connection

GuestWelcomePanel.Message

Welcome to our online remote support and collaboration portal. The following options allow you to connect to a session.Welcome message on the Guest page

EDIT: I tried the new v25.4.25 and I can confirm the translation no longer applies.


Please realize that there are people who use ScreenConnect outside the English-speaking world. Please don't leave us behind.

They clearly have stopped caring altogether and figured this latest security incident was yet another great opportunity to use us to market for them and get their logo in front of our clients.

Not to mention the announcement was timed so late in the day and clearly intended to sneak through after hours. Now, no one is answering the phone (not that that's new), and chat just saying "sorry for the inconvenience"

Guess I'm working on the holiday to deploy a new tool before ScreenConnect becomes completely unusable.

The new "connection acknowledgment" dialog that an end user is forced to interact with when they join a support session is also in English and uncustomizable.

I have been using the customizations (company logo and background) since purchasing the product. Having it just disappear and be replaced with the ScreenConnect logo and rocket background was very disappointing. I did not read the email from ConnectWise that talked about that. I was just shocked to see my customizations gone when logging in. I use the software to manage company machines and like seeing our branding on the pages.

this might be a ploy to force everyone to move to their RMM which is horrible

This is horrible! We have 99% german speaking clients. Also the option to hide the Message / Ballon was useful - now its in our way and people always asked what it is. Revert this stupid changes ASAP!

Our enterprise level company left TeamViewer to use ScreenConnect Cloud because we had the ability to customize our instance with our branding and required security access message that is needed for our cyber-security/risk management insurance. We are not happy and will be highly considering moving away from this if it is not returned in a near-future release.

We need the branding back pronto.  I am in breach of my own contracts that state my remote control software indicates the provider (my company) and not a company no one knows.  The questions have been flowing in about what the new icon is and why is it there.

Without the hidden banner (for end user) we cannot continue with Connectwise Control.
