Copy and paste

We use SC extensively—every day, all day—and it’s become an essential tool in our workflow. Unfortunately, the copy-and-paste functionality has recently started causing significant issues. While this problem is relatively new for us, discussions in the forums suggest it may have been a long-standing concern.

Is there a plan to address this issue? Or are we facing the possibility that SC may no longer meet our needs?

What is the status update on this one and what release will fix all the issues?

Upgraded to the latest stable cloud version and things seem to be better. I'll keep testing and report back later.

Nope. It still lags and locks up for 1-5 seconds when doing copy and paste.

We have the same issue with copy and past of files or username and passwords. It does not work at all or the transfer so slow or the session crashes or freezes.
Another customer who uses the on-premis server has reported the same issue.
We desperatly need these two features as we offer support for numerous customers and the support teams are really up in arms about this.
Please please prioratise this bug fix for your next release...

its really sad that they are not able to solve such a heavy bug - its really a KO argument for Screenconnect.

We are working through the clipboard issues and will begin releasing the fixes in our next releases.

26.3
This build is in Canary (stable cloud expected next week) and has the following fixes:

1) Copy/Paste of many special and non-English language characters through sessions are pasted as ? symbols
2) Clipboard copy/paste with Share Clipboard enabled in two or more active Host clients fails

The following fixes are planned for 26.4 pending testing (this will be available as a Canary build next week.
1) Mac to Windows connection disconnects briefly when using the snipping tool on the remote Windows machine
2) Pasting copied folder and subfolders using Windows Clipboard fails (small chance we can sneak this in 26.3)
3) When connected to a Mac guest and Windows Guest, repeated CTRL+C operations can cause a failure in the Mac guest client

Please let me know if there are any additional issues here that may be missing.

edit: Update status of copy/paste folder

Still copy paste errors on our side.
If we click on a drop-down Menu in a Remote-Session the session crashes. (especially in Backstage sessions its a 100% crash).
drag and drop still keeps crashing in some cases.
special characters for German/Italian language keep freezing or crashing the remote session.

Copy and Paste become a problem after a Screenconnect security issue involving Copy and Paste a few years ago.  At first it only affected copying out of Microsoft Office programs.  You would have to use the send keyboard keystrokes button to copy it.  It was not supposed to be a forever problem but you know how that goes.  Over the last few years, it has morphed into multiple problems such as copying to the session from any application will cause the session receiving app to lock up, you have to wait a few minutes before it starts responding again.  And it does not matter what creative way you paste the data, the result is the same.  It's not every time but happens frequently and when you can least afford to wait (or so it seems with me)

ScreenConnect just crashed for me while doing copy-paste of text, also crashing Excel while I was pasting it into the Excel file I was working on (that I had previously saved), and nearly destroying half a morning's work (I was fortunate to recover the file, but it took some real work). This fix cannot come soon enough; the product is working better than when it was, but when it fails, it seems to fail at the Murphy's Law worst-possible-moment.
