Copy and paste

We use SC extensively—every day, all day—and it’s become an essential tool in our workflow. Unfortunately, the copy-and-paste functionality has recently started causing significant issues. While this problem is relatively new for us, discussions in the forums suggest it may have been a long-standing concern.

Is there a plan to address this issue? Or are we facing the possibility that SC may no longer meet our needs?

performance was and is still a problem in SC for copy paste function.
With update to agent 26.1.18.9566 there is a new BUG with copy paste.
If we use ctrl+c and ctrl+v it fails or freezes the Window - drag and drop seems to work better atm.

Still happening for me, seems every time I press Ctrl+C it locks up the session and I have to end it in task manager. Reconnecting to the session lets me paste using the send clipboard option.

I am being told by our staff that this is occurring not just for file transfers, but for pasting login and password information as well. Using "Send Clipboard Keystrokes" works, but Ctrl+V kills the session at least some of the time.

We are on-premise, running version 26.1.20.9571 at this time, but I've also seen reports that this has not been resolved with the 26.1.22.9573 point release either. Because of that, I'm inclined to do what I do any time I see a ScreenConnect update as of the past six months --wait to update until I've seen more information. I would have done so for the 26.1 release if it were not for the CVSS 9.0, as security comes before functionality for such a high CVSS score in this case.

A new cloud release is available as a Preview which contains fixes for Windows 7/2008 as well as the clipboard crash.

ScreenConnect 26.1 / ScreenConnect

Please let us know if you experience either of these issues after upgrading to version 26.1.24.x

26.1.24.9579 doesnt solve problem with Copy & Paste (Ctrl + V) for us.

Copy & pasting passwords doesnt work - always adds some special chars. What it makes it even worse is that long text / code or script blocks cant be copy pasted - and the "send keystrokes function" isn't very helpful for long scripts...

Sean,

Can we get an ETA on when we'll see this for On-Premise folks? The issue is also present for us.

It's looking like Wednesday for on premise; I'll be sure to update this thread when it is available.

Sean,

Any update on this for an expected on-premise release date? The issues with 26.1 are killing us; sessions just crash in the middle of file transfers or the file transfers fail, and we're really losing productivity across our staff as they need to repeat tasks. I'm actually contemplating rolling us back to previous release despite the security risk, as this is preventing everyone from doing their job well.

To everyone in the cloud...has the latest cloud update resolved your issues?

I was expecting a build yesterday; however, we ran into some testing issues. We have been working to resolve those and have tested 2 builds today. One more build is in the works and if final testing goes well, we will release tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for patience and understanding and rest assured that our team is literally working 24/7 to get this pushed.

Sean,

Appreciate all your efforts. Is there any official channel that this stuff is being communicated over? There are a lot of partners dealing with major stability and productivity issues. I'm hoping I'm ignorant of some channel through which to get updates as to status, but at the moment I'm watching Discord, Reddit and watching the output stream and download sites. Surely there is a better and more official way?

Fully understand the need to fix the vulnerability - but unforutnately doing so has caused a lot of fallout. We need CW/SC management to communicate with us as to when baseline functionality and stability will be restored.

Thanks again
