Why remove the HIDE option from the connection banner ?

Why did you remove the option to hide the connection banner after connect ?

It does not make the product more secure. Initially the connection banner is shown.

Hiding the connection bar is not something you can do in a flash, it takes time so the customer does see the banner before that.

The option is also not permanent.

If we help customers that are on a Remote Desktop session or something else that shows a box in the same place (a tab in a browser for example) the connection banner is very annoying. You can move it to another place but often also there it is very annoying.

Please explain, it slowly starts looking like you don't trust your own product anymore.

All other similar tools have the same options to move banners nearly invisible and to brand them.

Erik,
We will be making a few changes to this banner. Namely, it will be drawn on a layer that is not visible to the Host; this is scheduled for our 25.7 release, which is planned for release in early October.

Absolute bullshit this is...  Who the heck makes these decisions? You can't even hide it in an "unattended session" It's so awkward when you have a window behind it.

Who asked you to do that? No customer did that's for sure. I don't want anything visible on the remote screen that I can't see. No one wants this. Stop taking away things that we pay for and bring back what you took away from us.

It would be in your best interest to listen to your customers. You're only going to drive us all away if you continue down this path.

We have all read that page. That isn't helpful.

First removing the customizations, then logo images and screenconnect pages and now removing the hide button... Definetely screenconnect is pushing us to seek for other alternatives... By the way, 13+ year onpremise user here!

Sean thank you for you comment.

I think that's a clever solution.

I however have an issue with it.

We take over the Host to support the customer. They want to show me something but  they see a banner hiding a browser tab or RDP connection bar they need to click.

I can't see the banner so i have to instruct them blindly how to move it....
