Re-Enable Hide Option from ScreenConnect

New update for ScreenConnect removed the option to hide top bar/banner. This is not acceptable since we have 100s of Point Of Sale devices that are touchscreen and not being able to hide is causing tons of issues

Expend sometime with CW Chat and they didn't know about the change, had to spell it out for them, keep telling me to Hide the option even though I told them 3 times in chat it's permanently disable

We are planning some changes in this area, but moving forward, this banner will be present whenever a host is connected to a user session.
The option we are exploring is to draw it on a layer where it's not visibile to the host. Stay tuned for more on this.

I have a couple instances. I tested our other instance and it's doing the same as yours.

I guess the good news is that we can still move the banner. Just because it sometimes sits in the same place as RDP and or our applications GUI that are kiosk style systems.

Thanks Sean, escalating with ConnectWise. This is very inconvenient and hope they backtrack

Sure, even though dozens of people are giving you valid reasons why these changes are unworkable, just double down and make it an unworkable issue that we won't even be able to see exactly what effect it has.

Drawing it where the host can't see it just means we'll be clicking it accidentally and it will still, just to draw random examples, be visible on the highway billboard we're remoted into, or be blocking the photos of your loved one at their funeral.

Good lord, are you all that determined to destroy your platform?

Without the hidden banner (for end user) we cannot continue with Connectwise Control.

I guess they are @Eric R Waggoner.

Just wondering, why others want it gone. Is the issue mainly because the box blocks a portion of the remote application or because the technicians don't want to be seen when connected to a machine?

For me it's blocking our app on the machine.  Having the ability to move it out of the way so that way it doesn't interfere with me, or the end user is important.

I do like that we can still shove the box to the far right off screen if needed.

See my previous examples! There are many use cases where having visual indication of an ongoing session is unworkable: digital signage, electronic billboards, applications and dashboards which have buttons/tabs under the message (any browser, many ERPs, etc.), or remote workers who are working in a session all day, every day and just don't want a huge piece of screen in a highly used location being lost to a message that they're connected to their own machine.
