Planned...sort of. We've heard similar requests and we're implementing a configurable option in 6.0 or 6.1. Expected behavior is to not present the option to leave support sessions open and just automatically close once a host exits a session. This will not be permission based as it is being implemented in the spirit of being a compliance measure, which shouldn't have any "loopholes" once set by an admin on the server.
We're changing the host page format for 6.0 to give more real estate for the session list. I'm declining this issue for now.
After talking with development, this appears to be a limitation of Windows 8 and below. Windows 10 currently allows for this functionality.
Changes to 6.0 may help with this issue. As a workaround, hosts who would like to use lighter themes can invoke them in the url. For example:
https://mycompany.screenconnect.com/host?Theme=Lightwithblue
You can make an adjustment in the web.config file to the "MaxLongestTicketReissueIntervalSeconds". By default it is set to 86400 sec (24hr). Setting it to 1 or 2 secs would log a user out who idles on the Host and/or Admin page after second or two.
I reopened the issue for dev to consider the request. I missed that you were expecting consent to survive your SC server being rebooted. Sorry for the mistake there.

Because of an already crowded top level menu, we probably will not add any additional buttons to the desktop host client. Karl is right about the short cut: https://help.screenconnect.com/Keyboard_mapping_and_keyboard_shortcuts_reference . This request should be to expose the Ctrl-Alt-Del function to the mobile device toolbar if that is the primary concern. This enhancement, however, would be only saving one button click as CAD is the top option in the misc menu. Can you expand on why the current method is inconvenient, so I can paint a picture for dev and the need for this feature?
