Hi Craig, 

Sounds like you might want to limit access to machines in your instance using session group permissions. You could give the Franchisee access to only a certain session group of machines, and the Corporate Entity access to all session groups, all from the same instance.

You can use your entries into the Device Type Field to create a session group. Just create a new session group with a subgroup expression for CustomProperty4, which is device type: 

This session group will list out subgroups for all your like device types. Hope this helps!
