Add ability to Block Input from other Hosts on a session

anonymous 9 years ago updated by swhite (Product Manager) 9 months ago 7

Partner is requesting more control over secondary hosts that may be in a session. Current behavior allows all hosts that are in a session to have full control over the session. Ideally the partner would like to be able to control input settings for each of the other hosts like in a meeting session. Allow control from everybody or nobody function we currently employ may be a solution.

1. First host in the session should be the primary host.
2. Sharing options should be exposed through the host client menu for the primary host to allow control by everyone or noone
3. If the primary host drops from the session control of the session should roll to the second host to join the session.

Two factor authentication w/AD - specify field other than "Description" for the 2FA serial # CW#7572176

Michael Legato (Support) 9 years ago updated 8 years ago 6

Partner is using AD authentication and would like to specify a different field in AD besides Description for the system to check/pull the 2FA serial number for validation. He uses Description for other things in AD and said he cannot append these details at the end as it may break some other things in the environment.

He also does not want to use LDAP as he has a multi-domain environment that doesn't work with LDAP.

Add ability to autopopulate CustomProperty field into new Support Sessions based on role

Michael Legato (Support) 9 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 2

Partner is looking for a way to separate out support sessions created by technicians in different departments: Dept A and Dept B. Technicians belonging to each department should be able to see other sessions created by users in their own department, but not sessions created by other departments.

He would like to enable a CustomProperty field for this, and would like to be able to specify a value that is populated based on the user's assigned role, so that the session filtering is done automatically and doesn't rely on human input.

We've added UserLogInName, UserDisplayName, and UserRoles variables to use in session group filters for 5.6+.

Add ability to transfer sessions to hosts that are not "eligible"

Michael Bannerman 9 years ago updated by anonymous 7 years ago 3

I was wondering if that could be possible to transfer a session to another LDAP User but who hasn't logged on the platform within the last 24 hours. I think it would be nice if we could search for a user directly on the LDAP using his e-mail or username. Do you think that could be eligible for a new feature request ? -cmz
